Dr Didier Ernenwein

Oral and maxillofacial surgeon

A clinical practice combining private and hospital care, surgery, multidisciplinary coordination, teaching and diagnostic innovation.

Dr Didier Ernenwein

Clinical practice

Dr Didier Ernenwein practises maxillofacial surgery and stomatology in Paris. He sees patients at the Rue Scheffer practice and operates, when appropriate, at the Ambroise Paré–Hartmann Private Hospital Group.

Proportionate surgery

His philosophy is to avoid an operation when a less invasive alternative can achieve a satisfactory result. In orthognathic care, he was among the early French surgeons to integrate orthodontic corticotomy, sometimes combined with bone augmentation (PAOO/Wilckodontics-type approaches), and skeletal anchorage with miniscrews or Bollard-type miniplates. In carefully selected borderline cases, close surgeon–orthodontist cooperation can provide a lighter pathway. It does not replace jaw surgery when full skeletal correction is required.

Hospital activity

He is a hospital practitioner in the Department of Stomatology, Maxillofacial Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Robert-Debré University Hospital (AP-HP), with recognised expertise in paediatric maxillofacial surgery.

Publications and professional contribution

His work includes publications and contributions in maxillofacial surgery, as well as recent professional teaching on tissue reconstruction in paediatric oral surgery.

Innovation: WeDiagnostix

As founder and CEO of WeDiagnostix, Dr Ernenwein works with a scientific team on AI-assisted analysis of dental radiographs. The technology is designed to support, not replace, clinical judgement.
