Patients referred from abroad can prepare an assessment before travelling, in coordination with their usual doctor, dentist or orthodontist.
A preliminary document review may help determine whether a specialist consultation in Paris is appropriate and support travel planning. It is not a definitive diagnosis and does not replace an in-person examination.

- A referral letter summarising the problem and clinical question.
- Reports and existing recent imaging.
- Medical history, medication, allergies and previous procedures.
- Contact details for the clinician who will provide follow-up at home.
- Travel constraints and possible dates, without booking before the pathway is confirmed.
Secure transfer of health information
X-rays and medical records are sensitive health data. The secretary will provide the appropriate secure method. General website forms and personal email should not be used for an identifiable medical file.
Assessment and treatment proposal
After examination in Paris and review of relevant records, the diagnosis, alternatives, timing, risks and follow-up are discussed. No result or operative schedule can be guaranteed before this assessment.

- Do not plan an early return flight after anaesthesia or surgery.
- Ask for financial information and account for non-medical costs before deciding.
After returning home
